on 2009-10-13My wife needed a desk for a home office set-up. We looked in several retail stores, unfinished furniture stores, and the Internet. She didn't like any of the ones she saw, except for the designer names with the associated price tag. We weren't buying a dinning room table, so the price and function were definite concerns. I stumbled on this one while on Amazon. She said it looked nice, it was the right price, had the features she needed, but she didn't sound very enthusiastic. We both had mental images of those phony looking laminated microwave carts. So, we expected it to be cheap looking, but serviceable. Big surprise! Its finish looked very close to real wood. It even had wood pores, and no pattern repeats. My wife initially thought it was real wood, it was that good. Assembly was not difficult, the instructions were very clear, the drawers operate smoothly, and it fills every need of a home office computer desk. She is very happy with it, and it looks far more expensive than it is.

on 2009-02-21Colony Computer Desk I got this for my daughter so she could work at home while taking care of her new son. It is beautiful, not too big, and the lower drawer is a file cabinet which is really useful. She is very pleased!
